Over the years, she enjoyed singing in various church choirs, helping in many ladies’ groups, ringing in the bell choir, and functioning as congregational treasurer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her former husbands: Ralph E. Wright, of Oak Park, Illinois, and Niles P. Gappa. So also her brothers, Edward, Kenneth (Butch) and Richard (Skip); her sisters, Helen Drew and Mary Popanz; and one grandson.

Still living are her children: Corinne (Gary) Torkilson, of Machesney Park, Illinois; Julie (Eric Easterhouse) Kind, of St. Peter, Missouri; and Reverend David (Dana) Kind, of Blaine, Minnesota. Included also her sisters, Carole (Jim) Colter, of San Tan Valley, Arizona, and Delores Loftin, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
