Eugene L. Engel’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 12th, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Kimberly City, MO. A luncheon will follow at The Old Homestead.
Gene, the son of Paul and Louise (Heckmen) Engel, was born on November 24, 1941 in Friend, NE. There he was also baptized. He died on December 07, 2012 in Cox South Hospital, Springfield, MO, at the age of 71. Eugene was a counselor and therapist who had lived in the area for the past fifteen years, after moving from Nebraska. He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Kimberling City, MO.
Survivors include: his wife, Gloria Engel of Lampe, MO; one son, Noel Engel of Lampe, MO; one daughter, Heather Jewell of Omaha, NE; six grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
