Rev. William R. Marler, moved to Springfield in 1986 to serve as a pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church. He is a 1983 graduate of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, where he remained until 1986 pursuing his post-graduate studies in Church History. During this time he also received his first divine call, Lutheran High School South, St. Louis, where he served as pastoral counselor and instructor. He has served on numerous circuit, district and Synodical boards and committees, and also teaches a class in the history of religion in America at Missouri State University.
