On Wednesday, November 21st, at 7:00 PM, we will have our Thanksgiving Eve service. Thanksgiving is not a holy day on the Church’s calendar. It is, however, a day of national thanksgiving when we as Americans take a moment to reflect on the blessings given to us and to thank God for those blessings.
It is also a time when we, as Christians, thank God for His many spiritual blessings. Through water and the Word of God, the Holy Spirit brings us into His kingdom in Holy Baptism. Through the preached Word and Lord’s Supper, God renews our strength for the life He gives us.
So, come as thankful people. May you also leave the service remembering the Source of all of your blessings!
